Today's Laugh - August 19, 2025

This joke really hits home for me... So, I was trying to teach my cat, Mr. Fluffernutter, to fetch. Total disaster. He just stared at me like I was speaking Klingon, then proceeded to lick himself for a solid five minutes. It got me thinking...

Why don't scientists trust atoms?

Because they make up everything!

Okay, okay, I know, it's corny. But it made me chuckle thinking about Mr. Fluffernutter's utter disdain for my attempts at bonding. Like, I thought it was a good idea, but clearly, he's questioning my entire existence. Maybe I should just stick to belly rubs and tuna.

Speaking of corny, did you know that research shows that people are more likely to laugh at jokes they understand, even if they've heard them before? It's like our brains are wired to appreciate familiarity and predictability when it comes to humor. That explains why my dad's dad jokes are still going strong after all these years, lol.

Seriously though, anyone else have pets that just...don't get the humor? Or just have completely different priorities? I swear, Mr. Fluffernutter lives in a world where naps and demanding food are the only things that matter. And, honestly, sometimes I'm kinda jealous. Anyway, let me know your funny animal stories in the comments! This one always gets me!
